I'm super excited to tell you that I will be a character attendant for this summer. This is my dream job, I'm so happy about it you can't even imagine. I still don't believe it. I can't wait for my program to start :)
During my program this summer, I was hoping to vlog. Actually, it did not happen. I'm hoping to be able this summer if I get into the program again. I hope you will enjoy this video thought. Today is May 10th which means I leave really soon.
This week was really fast. Earlier this week, on Tuesday, I went to a restaurant with some of the French Canadians doing the program this year. It was really fun to have the opportunity to meet them before our arrival to Orlando. I'm really excited to go back to Disney World but I'm nervous now because I have so much to do and I don't know if I will be able to finish what I have to do before I leave. One thing that I regret about my last program is that I didn't vlog. Well, I wasn't planning on it but the thing is that whenever I'm home now this is what I do: watch dcp's vlogs. I think this is the best way to remember your program and it feels more real than pictures. This year, I will try my best to vlog my journey at Disney World. During my last program, my friend from home who also worked for Disney during summer 2014 (Hilton Head Resort) came to visit Disney World. She did filmed during her stay and I've made a video. I can't wait to show you my videos. Here is one before May 12 :) Today marks my 21st birthday. I feel that I need to take any opportunities that I get. So, today also marks the day I'VE ACCEPTED MY OFFER FOR THE DISNEY INTERNATIONAL PROGRAM!!!
I'm REALLY excited to be back and cannot wait. I've paid my fees and booked my flights. I am now ready to go :) Florida see you on May 12th !!! Being a Cast Member for the Disney Company you have tons of discounts. My friend and I have decided that we would spend a night in one of the hotels. We wanted the Yatch and Beach Club because the pool is private for the guests. When we did our reservation there was only places for the Club Level. Why not right? We had club-level lounge and they served refreshments during the day. FREE FOOD (kinda)!! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. We had a DVD player, so we watched The Parent Trap. On the day of the Check In, we took the bus very early. And we took the wrong bus.... oops. There was two letters on the bus.. it wasn't our fault. Than, we arrived to our personalized front desk (oh yeah club level). We then had breakfast to our club-level lounge (so nice to be VIPS). We are both lifeguards and wanted to stay at the beach resort for one thing: THE POOL. So guess what we did on that day: spend the day at the POOL which is INSANE: huge waterslide, lazy river, sand in the pool, volley ball net in the pool. EPCOT is really nearby so we had dinner at Chef de France, it was DÉLICIEUX. We had some marshmallows (kids activities offered at the hotel).
We then headed back to the hotel watch Pretty little liars. Unfortunately, there was a storm when we were about to go back to the pool. We watch The Parent Trap instead. Had the best sleep in forever. QUEEN BED for me. The next morning, we had breakfast at the Cape May Café (we saw Goofy, Donald and Minnie) and went back to the pool. Spend our day at the pool until there was a storm and headed back to Chatham. I was exhausted so I had dinner and spend the night in the apartment. Fourth of July is so important for Americans and I kinda like the fact that they celebrate this day a lot compare to our Canada Day... It wasn't my first time being in the US for the fourth of July but I'll definitely remember this one!! On that day, I had OFF :) Lots of people wanted to switch shift but I said no. So with my lifeguard crew, we left Chatham early that morning. We first went to this place where we take care of tigers. It was soooo much fun !!! After taking care of the tigers, we went at a restaurant to have lunch. We ate American food / French fries. Yummy. After that, we went to the beach. It was my first time at the beach in Florida and the water is so warm there. It was awesome. Oh, and obviously because we are in Florida there was a huge storm. So, we went in stores. We had dinner at a restaurant by the sea, beautiful. Headed back to the beach to enjoy fireworks. Being a lifeguard for more than a month now is repetitive. You go to work and because I'm a CP I get all those PM shifts which are 16h15 until 23h30. (AM SHIFT : 8H30 - 17H00). So my day consist: going to bed around 1am and wake up around 9h30-10h. I hang out in the apartment or go to the pool with my roommates who also have PM shift. Than. I'm getting ready for work because the bus is at 15h09. You come back home around midnight. What I like the most while I'm working is closing the pool for a storm. It happened to me to be on stand for only 25 minutes during my shift. This is awesome. Plus, you can talk with your co-workers and learn more about them and make some friends. Trust me, we don't want to open the pool and we close it. The other day, we had to open the pool at 22h00 and we close the pool at 23h00. Lifeguards were not happy but this is our job. The fact that it was still raining was not fun for either of us.
Like I said in my previous post. My favorite days in the week are always my days off. It's so much fun. I went to Sea World with my friend. It was really nice to be out of Disney for a while. I saw some killer whales which is one of my favorite animals. The other day, I went to Blizzard Beach with my other friend. It was simply A-W-E-S-O-M-E. First, I like to be in the water and it so much fun to be a guest once in a while. |
